Meet Our Team

William Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson is a board certified Emergency Medicine Physician as well as the Medical Director of Refresh & Refine. He and his wife, Mandi, are St. Simons Island residents and owners of Refresh & Refine.

Amanda “Mandi” Johnson, RN

Owner of Refresh & Refine, Mandi is a Registered Nurse Injector with a passion for Aesthetics. Mandi has more than 8 years of experience in a Medi-Spa. She has had advanced training in injection techniques of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, facial rejuvenation with laser modalities, and skin analysis.

Jennifer Owens, LME

South Georgia native and St. Simons Island resident, Jennifer has been bringing her passion for excellence to skincare since 2011. Jennifer is the owner of Jennifer Owens Skin Care and offers a wide range of treatment options. She is dedicated to treating each client with customized care and consideration.

Mandi Johnson
 Owner of Refresh & Refine

Mandi Johnson, owner of Refresh & Refine, is a Board Certified Registered Nurse with Advanced Training in Aesthetic Medicine and Injectables. She has experience in trauma nursing and has been practicing aesthetics since 2012. Mandi is passionate about natural rejuvenation and helping others look and feel their best.

South Georgia native and St. Simons Island resident, Jennifer has William P. Johnson, MD, is a Georgia Board Certified Emergency Room Physician. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2000, earned an MD from Indiana University's School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville in 2007.been bringing her passion for excellence to skincare since 2011. Jennifer is the owner of Jennifer Owens Skin Care and offers a wide range of treatment options. She is dedicated to treating each client with customized care and consideration.

Courtney Popwell, DNP

Courtney H. Popwell is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner trained not only in Aesthetic medicine, but also Primary Care. Courtney has been in aesthetics since 2008 while working alongside two Board Certified plastic surgeons. She gained a wealth of knowledge not only in injectables and laser treatments, but also, cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures. This ultimately let to her desire to obtain her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Nicole Alba, MSN

Nicole Alba, MSN, NP-CNicole’s passion for aesthetics began in 2010 when she started working with renowned celebrity dermatologist, Fredric S. Brandt in New York City. She relocated to the Golden Isles in 2016 after receiving her Masters in Nursing degree and has been a part of the Refresh & Refine team since 2022. When Nicole is not working, she loves watching & attending Formula 1 races, working out at CrossFit St. Simons, and traveling with her husband and daughter.

Lynsey Stephens, LME

Lynsey Stephens, LME has been at Refresh and Refine since 2021. In 2022, she attended the Dallas Skin Institute in Dallas, Texas where she later completed the Medical Esthetician Program that allowed her to be certified in Texas and Georgia. She is trained in ZO Skin Health, Revision, and Skinceuticals, where she is currently unrolled in an ambassador program. She also specializes in Hydrafacials and therapeutic facials for problematic skin.

Lauren Linzie LMT

Lauren Linzie, Our licensed massage therapist, is well trained in many techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, reflexology, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage and aromatherapy massage. She’s a dedicated massage therapist with over 10 years of experience. She is dual licensed and graduated from the Aveda Institute of Florida in 2011.

Kim Thrams, LME

As a licensed professional in aesthetics and certified laser practitioner, Kim is well accomplished in non-surgical treatments for the face and body. With over 30 years of experience in the aesthetic field, she has a great deal of expertise in evaluating skin types and determining the best treatment plan for every client. Kim obtained the international esthetic certification known as the CIDESCO in 1995 which is the highest degree in esthetics.
